Two hands, read together

Each hand read on its own terms first. Then the comparison — where the two of you genuinely agree, and where your temperaments pull against each other. No score, because scores are made up.

Why there is no compatibility score

Every other service in this category gives you a percentage. We are not going to, and it is worth explaining why rather than just leaving it out.

A compatibility number implies a measurement, and there is nothing being measured. It would be generated by picking a formula, and any formula would do, because none of them correspond to anything. Two people would then be handed a figure about their relationship that felt authoritative and meant nothing — and one of them would remember it.

What you get instead. Two or three places the hands genuinely agree, two or three places they pull in opposite directions, and a specific account of the mechanism — one of you decides by talking and one of you decides by going quiet — rather than a verdict on the outcome.

What is in it

What it will not do

It will not tell you whether to stay, whether to go, or what the other person is really like. It will not warn one of you about the other. It contains no health content and makes no predictions, and it says all of this inside the reading rather than only here.

Two people are going to read this sitting next to each other, and possibly one of them is hoping for permission to do something. We are not in the business of supplying that.

How to take the photographs

One hand each — the dominant hand for both of you unless you would rather send the other. Side lighting, relaxed hand, no filter. The full guide is here, and five minutes of care makes a material difference to how much of each hand can actually be read.

Common questions

Do we both need to be in the same place?

No. One photograph of each hand, taken whenever suits. Most people photograph their own and send the other person the link.

Can we use it for two friends, or a parent and child?

Yes. Nothing in the reading assumes romance — it compares two temperaments. It is written as "the two of you", and works the same for any pair.

How long does it take?

Usually under two minutes. Both hands are observed separately, then compared.
